Eugene Barton Goldman

Eugene Barton Goldman, Captain USAF retired, failed to make muster on July 18, 2023, having succumbed to a combination of attitude, altitude and airspeed unable to sustain continued flight through life.

Now located at his final permanent change of station at Ft, Sam Houston, he will remain in the company of heroes and the sounds of military life he loved.

Born in Charleston, SC to parents Max and Clara Goldman, he grew up in the company of his older sister Irene and younger brother Leonard. He attended Georgia Military Academy, graduated University of South Carolina with a business management degree and continued on to Officer Training School after which he was commissioned as an officer in the USAF in 1963.

After serving tours all over the US and Europe, he met Lucy Behar in Turkey and they had two children, Darien and David.

Their next assignment brought the Goldman family to San Antonio, where Gene and Lucy started their own real estate adventure and continued to enjoy the Texas Life.
