He served as a mortar gunner in the U.S. Army 349th Infantry Regiment, 88th Infantry Division that went to Italy during WWII. Mr. Lozano received several awards, including the Purple Heart.
After returning to San Antonio, he worked at Kelly AFB and then Ft. Sam Houston, until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Survivors: daughter, Mary Ellen Perez; son, Carlos R. Lozano; daughter, Beatrice R. Bickel; son, Jose Luis Lozano, all of San Antonio; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Guadalupe Lozano, Irving, TX.
