Filomena Acevedo Rosa, age 90, of San Antonio passed away July 10, 2021. She was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico on July 20, 1931, and received a nursing degree in Puerto Rico. She married Ismael Gomez Fernandez in January of 1952. Filomena had a nursing career for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. A devout member of the Disciple of Christ Church in Bayamon, Puerto Rico and had a passion for helping people in need.
She is survived by her children Maria Myriam and Melba Gisela, grandchildren Jorge, Josue, Luis, Daniel, and Edward, and her siblings Carmen, Gladys, Ernesto, and Ramon.
A Funeral service will be held at 1pm, July 15th 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home.
