

She was raised in San Antonio, TX and graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School, Class of 1965. She went on to study Interior Decorating and Design at then named Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos and continued that study in later years through Community Classes at St. Mary’s University.
She married Edwin Lee Baumann on November 24, 1969. While the marriage ended, the friendship lasted a lifetime.
Amanda to some, Flo to others, started her working career in the late 1960’s at the Stokely-Van Camp Company. After her marriage to Eddie, she worked with him at his business, Baumann Auto Supply on Jackwood Dr. She later went on to restore her passion for Interior Design and Decorating by partnering with a friend and specializing in Christmas décor. In conjunction with her involvement in a Women’s Business Organization, she was included in the 1984-1985 Publication Notable Women of Texas for recognizable achievements and/or contributions to her community.
Amanda (Flo) enjoyed gardening resulting in her yard awarded “Yard of the Month” on numerous occasions in her neighborhood. She loved watching the Spurs play basketball and rarely missed a televised NHRA Drag Race.
Her greatest love were her dachshunds. We know she was greeted in heaven, and was so happy to be with her Snuggly, Honey Bear and Cinnamon again. She will forever be the Lover of all Dachshunds.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph; mother, Alice and half-brother, Gene Allan.
Her survivors include her ex-husband, Eddie, beloved Dachshund Coco, dear friend Gail Perry and numerous other friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas.
