Mrs. Cardona was a native of California and had just recently moved to San Antonio to be with her daughter and eldest of seven children, Ms. Vikki Carr.
Mrs. Cardona had a strong faith in God and instilled that faith in all of her children along with the loving desire to help others. She took great pride in being a wife, mother and devoted friend to all she knew.
Mrs. Cardona was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Carlos Cardona.
She is survived by her brother Leonard Martinez, her seven children and their families. Vikki Carr Dr. Pedro De Leon, Charles Cardona Janine, Frank Cardona Fran Tom Cardona Marilyn, Stephanie Espinoza Mike, Ruth Andara Jose, Debbie Ponce, 16 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a countless number of friends throughout Texas and California.
A Memorial Mass was held Saturday October 14th at St. Mathews Church in San Antonio.
