Florence Josephine Gibson

She is survived by her sister, Virginia Heitlauf, her sons: John Stuart, III (Tammie), Bruce Scott, and Mark Evan Gibson (Geraldina); and her grandchildren, John Stuart, IV (Jeci) and Jason Edwin Gibson (Sara), Sean (Monica) and Ryan McKnight, Amy Taege (Mark), Austin Gibson and Anna Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Jo Sheryak, her brother, Robert Sheryak, her husband, John Stuart Gibson, Jr. and her daughter, Frankie Jo McKnight.

Jo was born in Chisholm, Minnesota on April 4, 1925. Her family moved to Louisville, KY two years later. She attended the University of Louisville being very active in Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and sports. Jo met her future husband, Stu Gibson, there. They were married on February 14, 1947. The family moved to San Antonio in November 1959. Jo later became a realtor and worked for Keller Williams before retiring. Jo was loved by all who knew her. She had a very outgoing and unique personality. She was loved dearly by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was not only very close to her brother and sister; but, also to her 4 sisters-in-laws who she considered her sisters as well. Jo loved her family for always and forever. Visitation will be at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218 at 6:00 pm. Sunday, September 10, 2107, which will be followed by the Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral mass will be at 12:00 noon on Monday at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on Thousand Oaks. Monsignor Ryan will be
