Florence E. Schofield, age 97 of Schertz, Texas passed away May 3, 2017. She was born in Osage, Oklahoma on April 18, 1920 to Gus and Martha Walters. She went to the 11th grade and later earned her G.E.D. She was married to John Spurkosky and was widowed from him on March 18, 1983. Then she married Joseph Schofield (widower) on April 4, 1987 and was widowed again on August 3, 2004. Florence had a passion for her children who will miss her dearly.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Martha Walters; husband, John Spurkosky and her 2nd husband Joseph Schofiled, and her five brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her children, James E. Spurkosky (wife, Tony), Linda H. Lewis (husband, Monte), Stanley R. Spurkosky (wife, Judy), Thomas M. Spurkosky (wife, Pat), Evelyn S. Kessler (husband, Ron); and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 8th from 6-8 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 9th at 12:00 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
