Florinda Reyes Rodriguez loving wife, mother, grandmother and a teacher for 38 years, passed away December 5, 2017 at the age of 87. Florinda was one of 14 children born to Carlos and Maria Reyes in Berclair, Texas. She graduated from Beeville High School and attended Southwest Texas State College receiving a degree in Education in 1956.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Victor Rodriguez; sister, Estella Naranjo; brothers, Mike Reyes (Elida), Bert Reyes (Sharon); daughters, Elena Hutchins, Carmen Ramirez, Sandra Lotan (Yair); sons, Richard Hutchins, Carlos Rodriguez (Nichol), Rene Rodriguez; ten grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Maria Reyes; her daughter, Elisa and sisters, Tillie, Christina, Martha and Rachel; brothers, Lucas, Carlos Jr., Alvino, Tony, Ruben and Pete.
The family will receive friends from 2:00- 4:00 pm on Monday, December 11, 2017, with a 4:00 p.m. rosary at Porter Loring Mortuary North Chapel. Interment will be on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Beeville Memorial Park at 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
