Florine Mary Stripling died on December 14, 2003 in San Antonio, Texas. Florine was born in Rockport, Texas in 1914 to Roy and Geraldine Jackson. Her husband, Robert A. Stripling preceded her in death in 1971. Florine attended the University of Texas and Texas A&I. For over 50 years, she served as a partner in the Jackson-Stripling Farm and Ranch partnership, which continues to operate in San Patricio County, Texas. A resident of Houston for over 50 years; she spent the last five years in San Antonio. Florine is survived by two children: Mary Jane Bales of Devine, and Robert A. Stripling, Jr., of Dallas; six grandchildren: Sheryl Stripling, William Stripling, Kreeg Peeples, Keith Calcote, David Calcote and Andy Calcote; and 13 great grandchildren.
