

F. Wiley Alexander of San Antonio, TX, age 70 passed away Saturday, October 29, 2005. He was born in Trinity, TX and received a BA from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, OK. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years before being Honorably Discharged.
Wiley began a career in Journalism which brought him to San Antonio. His passion was Country Western Music. He supported local musicians as well as published interviews with some of Country Music's greatest performers. Wiley was inducted into the Country Music Association of Texas Hall of Fame which honored him with the Wiley Award which is awarded to individuals who promote Country Music locally.
He loved dominoes, had a distinctive laugh that was recognized by all and had a fantastic sense of humor. Wiley never met a stranger and had a very caring and generous heart. Above all, his grandchildren were the light of his life.
He was preceded in death by his father Joe Alexander, and his sisters, Sue Waggoner and Jorene Legg. Wiley is survived by his wife of 49 years, Norma Alexander; daughters, Karen Alexander of Schertz, Susan Gunn and husband Jeff of Pleasanton, and Kristy Davies and husband Rod of Georgetown; grandchildren, Jenna, Kelly, Jonelle, and John Wiley Corona of Schertz, Lacey and Jaret Gunn of Pleasanton, and Zachary Davies of Georgetown; mother, Mary Sue Alexander of Houston; brothers, Ray Alexander of Crystal Beach, Don Alexander of Spring and Jerry Alexander of The Woodlands; sister, Sandra Cole of Houston.
