Floyd Leonard Christiansen

Our loving Floyd, born January 6, 1933, was called to be with our Lord on January 1, 2015. Floyd was born in San Antonio, Texas and attended St. Gerard High School. He served in the US Army, worked and retired from Southern Pacific Railroad. Floyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, and football . He will be remembered for his love and devotion to family and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter Paula Crews, parents George and Cecelia Christiansen, sisters Gladys Sollinger and Dorothy Belzung. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Maxine, son Gary, daughter Rhonda Kahn and her husband Michael, grandsons Brandon Kahn, Kevin Kahn and his fiancée Miranda Sutton, brother George Christiansen Jr. and wife Wesa. Floyd will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Floyd’s name to Animal Defense League. Visitation at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home 6321 Bandera Rd. 78238 Thursday January 8th from 6:00-8:00 pm. Rosary will be recited Friday, January 9th at 9:30 AM with the Resurrection Mass to follow at 10:00 AM St. Luke’s Catholic Church 4603 Manitou San Antonio 78228. Reception to follow. Interment at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery Tuesday January 13, 2015 at 9:15 am.
