

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Elfriede Westerman and his three sisters, Esther Pape, Vera Friday, and Rebecca Rozacky.
Floyd attended Sharp primary schools and graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1944.
He served in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946. He was a graduate of Draughan Business College. He celebrated 50 years in the financial advisory business in 1997 and continued to serve as a Managing Director at SAMCO Capital Markets.
He was recently recognized by the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas as one of the founders of Public Finance in the state of Texas.
He was a member of the Bond Club of San Antonio, past board member of the Municipal Advisory Council, the Optimist Club, a member of the Sons of Hermann fraternal organization, a lifetime member of the Turner Club and longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruby Kneupper Westerman; son Lewis and wife Terry, son Allen and wife Courtney, and son Duane and wife Karen, all of San Antonio, daughter Sandra and husband Nicholas Knox of Coleman County, Texas, nine grandchildren, Amy, Jenny, Maude, Claire, Max, Nicholas, and Will Westerman, and Amanda and Kimberly Knox, brother-in- law Reno Kneupper and wife Betty, life long friend and business assistant Mary Ann Davis.
