

Frances Mildred Miller was born November 16, 1924, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, the third daughter of Thomas and Ethel Miller. She grew up and was educated in the Bond community near Philadelphia and graduated from Bond High School. She attended East Central Community College in Decatur, Mississippi.
At age 19, she left Mississippi for Washington, D.C. Fran worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C. from 1943-1947. While living in Washington, she met her future husband, William L. Bach.
Fran and Bill married on January 25, 1947, in Geneva, Illinois. After their marriage, they lived briefly in Atlanta, Georgia where their daughter, Cindy, was born in 1948. Their son Bill was born in Geneva, Illinois in 1951. Fran and Bill lived and reared their children in Wheaton, Illinois until 1966 when they moved to Glendale, California.
After the death of her husband, Fran moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1971 and lived there until her death; her last few years were spent living in the Independence Hill Retirement Community.
Her personal interests led her to take classes in color, design and floral arranging. She worked in several floral shops over the years and spent countless hours gardening and working with flowers for personal pleasure and to share with her family, friends and church.
Fran's faith in Christ was strong and certain and served to guide, support and comfort her throughout her life. Fran was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend. She put the needs of her family first and was a loyal and supportive friend. She treasured and nurtured her relationships with her family and friends.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ethel Barnes Miller; her husband, William L. Bach; her sisters, Claire Cawse-Morgon and Billie Griffith.
Fran is survived by her children, Cynthia William Bleier, William Barbara Bach; her grandchildren, Amy Bleier, Sarah Bleier, Andrew Carrie Bach and David Bach; her sister, Margaret Miller White; her nieces, Anne Foster, Karen Trippe; a nephew, Greg Griffith and her brother-in-law, Norman Cawse-Morgon.
