Frances Lucille Crosby

Frances "Lucille" Crosby, 91, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011 in San Antonio. She was born on August 22, 1920, in McAlester, OK to Asa C. and Winnie Walden Caldwell. Lucille was a longtime resident of Houston, TX, where she was a founding member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. She married her high school sweetheart, William Crosby in McAlester in 1944. They lived in McAlester, Billings, MT; Kansas City, KS; and Oklahoma City, OK, before moving to the Memorial area of Houston, TX in 1956. She worked for K. L. McGuirt Realtors of Houston for over 25 years. Two and years ago she moved to San Antonio to be closer to her family. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, William Vincent Crosby; and two sisters, JoAnn Hurlbert and Mary Elizabeth Cameron. Survivors include her son, Robert Crosby and wife Kate of San Antonio; her daughter, Carol Crosby Eberly of St. Leonard, MD, formerly of Falls Church, VA. Also three grandchildren, Craig Crosby and wife Kathy of Silver Spring, MD and their children, Kendall Todd Crosby and wife Kimberly of San Antonio and their children, Cole & Chloe and Ashley Crosby Belden and husband Bob of Canton, Oh, and their children, Charlie, Bobby & Lily survive. Nieces Elizabeth Cameron Cerratto and Beth Hurlbert Titterington and nephew, Cal Cameron also survive. Robert, Carol & Kate give special thanks to Lucille's caregivers, Laura Garcia, Mary Martinez, Helen Garcia and their families, all of Pleasanton, and Mary Small of Houston who each gave her much joy in the last years of her life.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
