
Frances was a devoted individual whose life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family and her passion for nurturing those around her.
Frances is reunited in Heaven and is preceded in death by her husband, Sigmund Koteras; her parents, Franklin Luna and Cora Buquor; her brother, Richard Luna; and her sister, Mary Carnes Lackey. She is survived by her children, Larry Koteras (Gabriele), Ronnie Koteras (Paula), Rick Koteras (Mary), and David Koteras (Rachel), as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom were deeply cherished by her.
A graduate of Fox Tech High School, Frances dedicated her life to being a mother and housewife, roles in which she excelled as she lovingly raised her children and grandchildren. Her devotion to her family was evident in the time she spent caring for them and in her renowned culinary skills, particularly her delicious apple pie.
Frances enjoyed cooking and took great pride in maintaining her lovely property in Chappell Hill, Texas. Her life was enriched by these pursuits, and she will be fondly remembered for her generous spirit and the warmth she brought to her family gatherings.
Frances's legacy is one of love, care, and devotion, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Sunset North Funeral Home, located at 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232, on February 19, 2026, starting at 11:00 am. The recitation of The Holy Rosary will take place at 12:00 pm, followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 12:30 pm. A funeral procession will occur going to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209, for a 2:30 pm Committal.
