I was thinking about the Monogue family today at one o'clock and wishing I lived closer to San Antonio so I could be part of the celebration of its matriarch's life. I had a cup of tea and a "Lizzie" that I made from the recipe she gave me when I was in San Antonio. Maybe I should have had a scotch instead, but it was early. My condolences to the wonderful family of this lovely lady. My your happy memories soon replace the grief you feel.

I once said to Fran, "I don't remember you ever saying anything at out Sub Vets bunch while Ed was alive." 
She replied, "I didn't need to. He always spoke for both of us, and said everything that needed to be said." 
Of the most memoriable people I have ever known, Fran is certainly at the top of the list. To me, she was a farm girl who had the spirit of royalty. 
Kay and I dearly loved her... I will sorely miss her.
