

After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Texas in Austin and received her teaching credential. She then taught multi-grades and became principal of Meyers-Dale, a one room country school near Yorktown.
She married Griffin W. Wooten in 1930 and lived in San Antonio thereafter.
She was the mother of one son and two daughters and became very active in their school activities.
In her spare time, she was a professional seamstress for Trinity University Women.
She later had a long career with the Federal Government and retired in 1972.
After retirement, she especially enjoyed gardening.
She was known by all as a kind and thoughtful person who always remembered her friend's and family's special days. She had a great sense of humor and loved jokes and funny stories.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Griffin Wooten, Sr.; her parents, Charles and Rosie Warzinek; her infant brother, Eugene Warzinek; her sister, Sedonia Campbell; and her granddaughter, Lisa.
She is survived by her son, Griffin W. Wooten, Jr. and wife Gladys; her daughters, Kay Woods and Ardith Dixon; her grandchildren, Cyndi, Warren, Baron, Pamela, Kristin, Giff and fiancée Rhonda; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, April, Andrea, Cherish, Chelsea, Justin, Clayton and Josh.
Pallbearers will be Warren Woods, Griffin Wooten, III, Stanley George, Eric George, Dan George, and Harold Caylor.
