Francisca A. Alvarez, age 74, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on December 29, 1945 in San Antonio, to parents, Basilio H. Antu and Francisca Uribe Antu. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe A. Alvarez, Sr., with whom she had been married for 33 years; and five siblings, Louis U. Antu, Ezequiel U. Antu, Juan U. Antu, Estella Galan, and Maria Inez Antu. Francisca is survived by her sons, Joe A. Alvarez, Jr., Christopher A. Alvarez, & his wife Amy Alvarez; and grandchildren Kathryn Alvarez, Henry Alvarez, Rachel Alvarez, and Charles Alvarez; her sister, Angela Flores; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Due to safety concerns related to the pandemic, the funeral services will be private.
