Francisco Xavier Baez was a veteran of the United States Navy and his rank was Petty Officer 3rd class (E-4), Gunners Mate (GM), and served in the Korean war. He was a graduate of Central Catholic Class of 1948. He was a devoted husband and father of six beautiful children. He retired as acting Branch Chief from Kelly Air Force Base after 34 years of service.
In his 91 years, Francisco (Frank)wove a beautiful legacy of integrity, dedication, and leadership. This year, he and his wife, Maria, celebrated 64 years of marriage. Their children Mary (Arturo), John (Cynthia), Mark (Allison), Rosa (Alvin) and Frank carry on his legacy. Eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren will feel this incredible loss, but remember him kindly as a man who valued every person in his family. Francisco is also survived by his brother, Ernie Baez. He is preceded in his departure by his parents, Ben Edward Baez and Aurora Biglay, and his daughter, Diann Baez.
His ambitious nature and ingenuity afforded him and his family a drive to persevere through challenges. He was a reliable man who stepped up to fill the void when necessary. He modeled generosity with his wisdom, never hesitating to share it with anyone who needed it.
He is one-of-a kind whose voice will be greatly missed, but we will carry his legacy knowing he lives on in us
