Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather Francisco G. Renaud passed away at North Central Baptist Hospital on March 10th, 2024 at the age of 88 due to complications related to heart and kidney failure.
He was born in Raymondville, TX on April 2nd, 1935. Growing up in Harlingen, TX, Francisco took great pride in his many jobs, including work as a shoe shine boy, selling newspapers, and working in his uncle’s grocery and meat market.
Francisco and his wife Graciela met at his brother’s wedding and were married in San Isidro, TX on August 30th, 1963.
His work with the U.S. Army Audit Agency took him (and sometimes his family) across the country and abroad to Ft. Bliss along the Texas-New Mexico border, Vietnam, Panama, and Ft. Huachuca in Arizona. He rose to the position of Senior Auditor and served in that capacity until his retirement after 46 years of work with the Agency.
Francisco is remembered for his hard work, compassion, friendliness to everyone he met, and dedication to his family.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
A visitation for Francisco will be held Monday, March 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232, with a rosary to begin at 7:00 PM . A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at St Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church, 1602 Thousand Oaks Dr, San Antonio, TX 78232. Followed by the committal service with honors at 11:15 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery Shelter #3, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
