

He was born one of 11 siblings on February 19, 1924, in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of Josephine and Peter Calabro.
On November 9, 1946, Frank married his loving wife of 62 years, Sue, who survives him.
He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater as an ammunition specialist. Frank was commended for assisting in the rescue of survivors of the USS Franklin.
After his discharge, he was employed in New York City by a clothing contractor as its plant supervisor. In 1960, he moved to San Antonio where he worked as factory manager of Lasso Western Wear and later Sol Frank Uniforms.
Frank is survived by his son, Frank Calabro, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Jim Ross of San Antonio, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Gina Calabro of Coppell, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Michelle Calabro; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The family would like to thank Mary Jane Garza for her continuing loving care and support.
