Frank and others were always trying to match me up with other singles in the school. He was always so very nice to me. He and his close friend Walter Chesser and others and cousin Jesse Madla were great teachers. As I followed Franks carrier through newspaper articles and the TV I was proud to have known Frank many years before. I share your sorrow in the loss of Frank.

I was a Legislative Aide to Senator Madla in the mid-90s. He was a wonderful man to work for, and I am deeply saddened by this tragedy. My prayers and condolences remain with his family and loved ones.

Senator Madla's visit to Valentine ISD showed his dedication to education and his respect for common folk. The staff and student body will never forget his visit because not many people will bother to visit such a small rural community. This will be as memorable an occasion as that of President Harry Truman's in 1948, as he made his way across the states by train campaigning for his presidency. Our deepest sympathy to his family and may he rest in peace.

I was a legislative aide for Frank, Frank Tejeda, G.J. Sutton and Ron Bird all at once. Our planning sessions were at 6 a.m. Sundays. He was always smart and wanting to do go things for his district. I am in shock over this. so sorry.

Senator Madla's visit to our school exactly one year ago is still very vivid in our minds. We have photos of him and his party that came to visit. We felt like we had known him for a long time and his friendliness and caring ways will never be forgotten. We had a moment of silence in his honor and our flags fly at half staff. You will be truly missed Frank, by family and friends. Thank you for you friendship over the years. I know you are being rewarded for your love, trust, and friendship to all who knew you.

My husband and I were constituents of State Senator Madla from 1993 until 2001, when the census put us into another district. I was a Democratic precinct chair from 1998 until 2003, when I was activated and sent to Germany as a reservist. 
Both my husband and I felt he was a good senator and were pleased with his voting record. We were both saddened when we heard about the fire that took his life and that of his mother-in-law and his granddaughter. Our prayers are with Mrs. Madla, who has gone through more grief at one time than either of us has done in the past. We are unable to attend any of the services, due to my job and my husband's hospitalization this week, and appreciate Porter Loring giving people a chance to pay tribute.
