Frank C. Mendoza Sr.

Frank left school at an early age to start working at Security Title & Trust to help with finances for his parents & siblings. It is at Security Title & Trust that he met the love of his life, in his words his darling wife Hilda (Lozano) Mendoza. They married July 22, 1951. Frank joined the US Army February 19, 1951 he was active duty for 2 years as a tank crewman, than went on to the Reserve Corps for 5 years, he worked at Kelly Air force workforce as a Sheet Metal Worker for C130 & C5 aircrafts. Frank is remembered by his loved ones as a quiet, straight to the point, generous, loving man. Frank was reserved but took great pride in his family & legacy. Frank was a devout Catholic who was very involved in his church St. Paul. Frank enjoyed playing softball in his younger years, taking family trips & even though he was not a fan of the coast he went almost every year because his family loved the coast. Frank enjoyed going to baseball games and watching boxing with his family.

Frank joins his parents Celestino & Carlota Mendoza, his sisters Lydia Pacheco, Stella Rodriguez, Brother Rudy Mendoza & his long awaited, darling wife Hilda Mendoza.

Frank is survived by his sisters, Alice Zuniga, Rachel Fausto (Frank), his children Frank Mendoza (Gloria), Charlotte Medina (Jesse), Shirley Mendoza, Patrick Mendoza (Lori). His grandchildren Christopher Mendoza (Jeanette), Brandi Garza (George), Michael Medina, Anastasia Arreguin; his 7 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.

A Visitation for Frank will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237 with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Processional will depart from the funeral home at 9:30 AM for a Mass of the Resurrection on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 350 Sutton Dr, San Antonio, TX 78228, with Burial to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
