Frank Louis Quintanilla

Frank Louis Quintanilla, 56, left us to fly free, on December 3, 2023. Frank, aka "Pulquerio," aka "Frankie Velvet," aka "Bocephus" was born in San Antonio Texas, to Gloria and Albert Quintanilla on June 16, 1967.

Frank spent most of his life working in home improvement sales and played bass with his life-long buddies in several projects, including their 70s rock cover band Methuselah. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, playing harmonica, karaoke and building car models. Dedicated to his work, friends, family and lifelong passions, Frank was a man who never gave up, always trying to improve his knowledge, his skills and himself.

Frank was a fighter and a survivor but lived his life with a positive outlook. He was unapologetically himself. Sociable, curious, and invested in building connections with the people around him, he easily turned strangers into friends, leaving his unforgettable mark on everyone he met.

Frank was always willing to make sacrifices to ensure his family’s happiness, success, and freedom to fully live their lives. Even when he struggled, he continued working hard so his family could flourish. He encouraged their hobbies and goals, even participating in extracurriculars as a volunteer coach, and he protected and stepped up for his family during difficult times. They will be forever grateful for the gift of the time they got to know him.

His legacy will be remembered as one of endless and genuine love for his family and friends, the importance of laughter despite struggles and unmatched resilience.

Though he will be greatly missed, the afterlife has gained one hell of a guy. We can rest easy knowing he’s bringing some much-needed mischief to all those who passed before him. May his memory inspire us to embrace life fearlessly, with humor and determination, just as he did.

Frank is survived by his wife, Bobbie; oldest child, Tal; son-in-law, Matt; daughter, Ashley; youngest, Feliciana "Flea"; and his loving cats, Deebo, Craig, Felicia/Fred, Smokey, Mika, and Mr. Mumbles.

Visitation will be held on December 16, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Porter Loring Mortuary West located at 1710 W Loop 1604 N, San Antonio, Texas 78251.
