Freddie was preceded in death by his beloved parents. He lived a full life rooted in family, dedication, and love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength that will be cherished by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Biesenbach; his children, Brett Biesenbach (Karen), Kellie Siebenlist (Matthew), and Carla DuBois (Dewey). Freddie was a proud grandfather to Blaine Biesenbach (Vanessa), Mark Biesenbach, Cameron Guzy (Lily), and Alexandra (Sugar Bee) DuBois, and a devoted great-grandfather to Charlotte Biesenbach, Avery Martinez, and Cora Guzy. He is also survived by his dear cousin, Joyce Bobo Nelson of Oklahoma. Lastly, his side kick of 13 years “Hank" his best furry friend, whom he spent many hours with and loved dearly!
In his early years, Freddie graduated from Brackenridge High School where he met his loving wife of 70 years (Sue Jackson Biesenbach) He then went on to serve in two branches of the military. He first served in the Navy Reserves and then after marrying his sweetheart in 1955 went on to serve Active Duty in the U. S. Army. Freddie worked at City Public Service for 37 years, most of which he worked as a Lineman and proud to be a part of the original infrastructure for San Antonio. He ended his career of 37 years with a perfect safety record. He enjoyed and took pride in his work and serving the City of San Antonio.
Freddie was also an active member of St Paul Lutheran Church of Bulverde for many years where he served on many committees but especially enjoyed volunteering his time behind the scenes with the “Living Christmas.” He was also a long-standing member and served on the “Community Center” Board for several years in Bulverde Texas.
His love of cars and trucks and really anything with an engine led him to rebuilding tractors once he retired and moved to Bulverde Texas. With that love he and Sue also enjoyed being an active member and part of the Tractor Club, going to tractor shows with his cousins (Charlie & Elsie Lee Biesenbach) and riding in parades showing off a piece of history and their antique rebuilt tractors.
Freddie will be remembered for his unwavering devotion and unconditional love of his family and his generous heart. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. To know him was to understand his Faith based opinions and trust that his handshake was his word.
In his later years, he found joy and laughter in drinking “free” coffee, eating his favorite breakfast sandwich and solving the world's problems with his friends most every weekday morning at Whataburger on Hwy 281 and Brook Hollow in San Antonio. Freddie never lacked for a story that could last for hours and not a detail left out. His quick wit and sly sense of humor will be missed. Freddie Biesenbach was a man among men.
He’s climbing that pole in the sky! Rest in Peace Lineman.
