He was born on September 14, 1932 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to parents Leonce Valmé and Lucia Fequière. Fritz was a man who understood the essence of truth, personal conviction, respect, loyalty, faith in God and love.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Andre Deslandes.
Fritz is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Helen Nichols Valmé, son, Rony M. Valmé and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Pricilla F. Miller and Shauntrice Beamer; great-granddaughter, Lyana Simmons; sisters, Fernande Valmé and Jacquelines Acloque; brother, Robert Deslandes; nieces, Kettly Valmé, Nadia Deslandes, Natasha Deslandes; nephews, Richard and Lionel Acloque.
