

Dr. Gary T. Deane, age 59, of San Antonio, died Monday, August 2, 2004. He graduated from South Western Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft Worth, TX earning Doctorate degree, Early Childhood Education and Masters in Religious Education; Graduated South West Texas State University, TX B.S. in Education, 1970. Certified Texas Teachers Certificate for Kindergarten and Elementary grades.
Dr Gary Deane was engaged in Children and Youth religious education for 40 years. Deane was Adjunct Professor of Childhood Development at University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio Texas.
Dr Deane's religious education career and love of traveling worldwide was sparked when he taught in Brazil with the Baptist Missionary's in early 1970's. His career also focused on developing church children's education programs, authoring Children's Curriculum. Leading church school Educator's Training was a talent and true love of Dr Deane's. Training Baptist pastors and church leaders in religious education in Irkutsk, Siberia, Russia. His interest in Geographic studies lead to world wide travel in North America, South America, Europe, the Holy Land, Russia, and to both North and South Poles.
Dr. Deane served as Administrative Dean and Executive Vice President, of Lincoln Graduate Center a national provider of real estate education offering over 400 courses annually in 42 States from 1990-2003. During this time he also served as Executive Vice President of National Association Master Appraisers, a professional nation wide society of real property appraisers. He was founder of the National Society of Environmental Consultants, concerned with preserving National resources within the real estate industry.
Dr. Deane served on the Education Committee for his church, Trinity Baptist Church, San Antonio, Texas, and as an Executive Committee member of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
