1935 – 2016
Gene was a loving and giving man. He was very gregarious, engaging and adventurous. That "road less traveled" would be the one Gene checked out. His mantra was: "you haven't earned it, you don't deserve it, but you ARE entitled to it". He was extremely driven in many aspects of his life, including being a Valedictorian in both high school and college. His first calling was being a minister at Church of Christ for 25 years, serving in Texas, Maine, Rhode Island, Ohio, and Alabama. He obtained a Master Degrees in both Accounting and Business Administration while still preaching.
Gene is survived by his loving wife, Minerva Walter; his sons, Randy Armstrong and wife, Linda, Dr. Larry Armstrong and wife, Laurie; his daughter, Veronica Cisneros; grandchildren, Matthew Armstrong, Drew Armstrong, Shelby Armstrong, Cameron Armstrong and Mariana Vazquez-Walter; great-grandchildren, Damon, Avary, Marina and Sienna.
