

Geo. A. Keller, age 83, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on February 10, 1931, in New Braunfels, Texas, to George Andrew Keller, Sr. and Alma (Kellermann) Keller, he spent his formative years in Blewett and Uvalde, Texas. After graduating from Uvalde High School and Sul Ross University, George was employed as an engineer in the City Public Service Gas Department from 1953 - 1988. He was especially proud of his work on the CPS massive City-wide Cast Iron Replacement Program. George enjoyed camping trips to the Big Bend and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks, woodworking, hunting for arrowheads, reading, gardening, genealogy, and square dancing.
George is preceded in death by his parents and infant son. Survivors include his daughter Sandra K. Keller, son Patrick W. (Patty Reyher) Keller, granddaughter Michele L. Keller, cousin Warren (Marjorie) Kellerman, cousin Diana (Jerry Hardy) Kellerman, cousin Beverly (Jim) Lee, former wife Patti Burleson, brother-in-law Bill C. Stephens, nephew Billy C. (Misty) Stephens, cousin Beverly (Jerry) Ebensberger, and his beloved dog Kelsey.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to Dr. Neela Patel and staff, Dennis Voges, Blanca Rosales, Elsa Aguilar, Veronica Espinoza, Victoria Gonzalez, Ellie Richaud, Lidia Alejandre, Joann Marron, Elayne Toney, and VITAS Hospice.

Memorial services will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Barbara Galloway officiating. Inurnment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
