He was born on November 7, 1924 in Dallas, Texas. George married Joyce Johnson on April 10, 1947.
He proudly served with the Marines during WWII and Korea receiving a Purple Heart.
He attended Crozier Tech, NTAC and SMU in Dallas, Texas. George was the owner of Accent Advertising in San Antonio and member of The Chordsmen, NW Lions Club and M.O.P.H.
He attended Castle Hills Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nellie Hodges.
George is survived by his wife, Joyce Hodges; daughter, Carolyn and husband, Hartford; sons, Jerry Hodges and wife, Linda; /Tom Hodges and wife, Lena; grandchildren, Brock, Aaron and Benji Tunnell; Chris and Sherry Hodges and Brianna; four great-grandchildren.
