

George John Kearns, Jr., age 72, of Blanco County, loving husband, dad, granpa, and much loved son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle, peacefully embraced God on September 3, 2009, with family and friends by his side. George was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 23, 1937, to George and Julia Kearns.
George met the love of his life and wife of 38 years, Priscilla Milner, at USAA, where he worked for 32 years, until his retirement in February 2001.
He is survived by his wife, daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Russell Jonas, Laurie and Bobby Wyatt, grandchildren, Allan and Austin Jonas, Ty and Taylor Royce and Tori Wyatt; mother-in-law, Yvonne Milner; numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.
George is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Betty Knox and Kay Arthur.
George grew up in San Antonio, where he attended Central Catholic High School, and received both his Bachelor and Masters Degrees from St. Mary's University. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962.
George and Priscilla resided in Bulverde for many years prior to moving to Blanco County. George loved to travel and he and Priscilla spent many autumn vacations in New England.
