George N. Martinez

George proudly served in the United States Army and later dedicated his career as an Air Force civil servant.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his family. Known for his warm heart and quiet strength, George shared a deep love with all those around him.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—French cooking, watching classic westerns, and, most of all, creating lasting memories with his loved ones. His passion for food and family brought people together and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He is reunited in heaven with his beloved spouse, Edna Mae Longmire Martinez, and his daughter, Michelle De Guzman, as well as his parents; Camilo Martinez and Francisca Noriega Martinez and sister Francis Yanez.

George's memory will forever live in the hearts of his children: Michael Martinez (wife Ann), Melissa Long (partner Jim Johnston), and Dolores Livingston (spouse Scott).

He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Monica, Devon, Alexis, Brandy, Courtney, Lindsay and Katherine

Great Grandchildren; Eamon, Elias, Everly, Mason, Atticus, Cyrus, Lilliana, Markus, Margaux, Demecio and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.

He is also survived by his siblings: Dolores Grijalva, Stella Vera, Irene Perez, Elizabeth Garza, Robert Martinez, and Raymond Martinez.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237, on April 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Family and friends are kindly asked to meet directly at the church on the morning of April 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of the Resurrection at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, 1321 El Paso Street, San Antonio, Texas 78207.

Following the Mass, we will proceed in procession to San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237, for the Committal Service with Military Honors.
