Dear Mead family, Your father was truly one of a kind. Over the years, as Robert and I became better friends, as well developed friendships with other members of the Mead family, I could easily recognize where the intelligence, drive, sense of humor and class each of you possess originated. Like many of our parents' friends, couples of their generation seemed to take on a personality of their own; almost like a finely tuned comedy team. George and Nancy were like that. I always enjoyed visiting with your father, and know he will be missed by many people. I hope he passed away peacefully and with a smile on his face. I am truly sorry I was unable to attend today's memorial for your Dad. I unfortunately could not re-schedule an important meeting in Austin, and I had to devote time preparing for two other huge meetings in Dallas/Ft. Worth over the next two days. Heard there were hundreds of people there to keep you company and to pay tribute to your father. What a wonderful tribute and honor. All under the watchful leadership of Father Jeff! Nice touch! Lisa and family, your dad was a very special person and the Saigh family wants to extend our deepest sympathies. My mom, Rose, told me that her first memory of your dad was when he interviewed with her dad years ago and took an entrance test for Corn Products. George truly had a positive impact, as a mentor, on my early career at Frost by being readily accessible for mundane/complex clarificaiton. After his departure from the bank; he never failed to take time for a genuine chat to catch up on me personally or professionally. Disappointed that I could not attend the memorial service. I am blessed for having known him.

I worked with George when I first started at the Bank 23 years ago. I was a young inexperienced fresh out of College guy. George was alway available to me. He was funny, knowledgable, and helped me grow as a Frost banker and as a person. 
He was one of a kind...in all the good ways.

Chris & I feel so honored to have spent last Thanksgiving with your family and especially enjoyed getting to know George. I seem to remember he rooted for UT -- taught us a thing or two about Texas college football fever and went to great lengths to get the best Mexican food : Lucy & Spencer were both saddened to learn of his passing as they both remember him as a terrific grandfather to Anne-Marie and Max. We are keeping you all pardon, y'all in our thoughts over the coming days.

I'm sorry for your loss. I waited on Mr. Mead almost everyday at Jim's. We will all miss him very much.

George and Nancy were such fine people to know. They represent the family spirit of San Antonio. It was a pleasure to serve with them at IWC.

Dearest friends, I am so sad that your precious, sweet, kind, hilarious father is gone. He was always one of my very favorites. I will miss him and send all of my love and sympathy to you.

George will be terribly missed by his family and friends and especially by the Santa Rosa Children's Hospital family. Santa Rosa is extremely grateful for George's years of dedication to the children in our community. As a friend and neighbor, I will personally miss his wonderful smile and his genuine nature.

Dear Robert, I was sorry to hear of your Dad's passing but I know he is in a better place and am thankful that his end was peaceful.
