Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all was called home to be with our Lord on October 20th, 2019. Georgene was born in San Antonio, TX on September 27th, 1930.
Georgene’s greatest love was spending time with family and friends which she always made time for. Throughout her life, she traveled the world and called many continents home while raising a wonderful family and being married to an active duty Air Force husband. Georgene has never met a stranger and dedicated her life to helping those around her.
Georgene is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Beatrice Shew Smith, her husband Richard Williford, sister Nancy, brother Floyd, daughter Vicki Watkins, son-in-law Thomas White and granddaughter Lauren Williford. She is survived by her loving sister Donna Brewer, daughter Brenda White, son Rick and Linda Williford and grandchildren: Jeff and Christi White, Paul and Samantha White, Rebecca and Scott Smith, Randall and Christy Watkins, Jamie Williford, Ryan Watkins, Zach Williford and numerous great grandchildren.
Heaven has truly gained a beautiful angel; Georgene will be greatly missed and leaves behind the most cherished memories with the ones she loved.
Join us in a celebration of her life with a visitation starting at 9 am on Friday November 8th at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX, Phone (210) 718-0364. Service will begin at 10 am followed by a graveside service at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd San Antonio, TX. Following graveside service, friends and family will gather at her church home Alamo United Methodist 4071 N Foster Rd San Antonio, TX for a memorial lunch.
