Jene, a National Merit Scholar, graduated from LSU, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She attended LSU Medical School, where she met her husband, Edward Kramer. After marrying in 1961, Jene left medical school in order to support Ed's military career and during the next 15 years, she focused on raising her children and making sure her family settled comfortably in each new home as they moved frequently with the military. Arriving in San Antonio in 1975, Jene launched a successful career in Real Estate which spanned over 35 years. After living in Rockport, TX and Orlando, FL, Jene returned to San Antonio in 1994 to be closer to family.
She was preceded by parents, Marcus Lester and Jack and Noreen Marler; brother, Darrell Lester.
Jene is survived by son, Edward Kramer (Kelly); daughter Rebecca Bradley (Jeff); grandchildren, Tanner and Kendall Bradley.
