

Georgina Pawling, much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2003, at the age of 88. Her legacy is one of abiding faith and commitment to her Lord Jesus, love, courage, perseverance and compassion. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years John W. Pawling;
daughters Penelope Eileen Chinik and her husband James of Flowery Branch, GA and Marcia Ann Foster and Todd Chapmond of Macdona, TX; grandchildren Melissa Simmons and her husband Donald, Melanie Vaneck, and Erin Hopf and her husband Keenan, all of San Antonio, TX; grandson Damon Amaya and his wife Stephanie of Independence, MO;
granddaughter Tana Vanderslice and her husband Maxwell of Greenwich, CT; and grandson Drew Foster of Macdona, TX; and seven great-grandchildren. Prior to her marriage she was employed by NY Life. During of the early years of her marriage, she was a full-time homemaker who always strove to make life lovely for her family. She later worked for Macy's at Roosevelt Field, LI, from where she retired.
She and her husband were members of The First Baptist Church of Merrick, NY until their move to San Antonio in 1987. They then joined Northwest Hills Baptist Church where they served the Lord and felt very much at home. At the time of her passing, she happily resided at Village Oaks at Hollywood Park. She will be greatly missed by her family, extended family, and the many friends she loved during her lifetime.
