He was born on October 10, 1935 and is survived by his wife, Jeom; sister, Marietta; two children, Sharon and Roger, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Lena Mae, two brothers, Douglas Jr. and Lamar and son Douglas Lee. Born and raised in Georgia, Chief Martin proudly served in the United States Air Force for 30 years followed by 15 years as an Air Force civil servant.
