Hi Mom, 5 years...wow. You have never left our minds. Life & this world is crazy as ever. Quick note...Terry struggles with the loss of Andi still & has struggles with Amanda. I feel for him. He wants to live near Ron & I, preferably at our ranch as does Donna too. (It is truly God's Country there) & here there just isn't much around us that people can afford. He definitely says he wants North. (I can't blame him, none of us like the congestion of SA anymore.  We avoid it at all costs) We will see what happens or what he is forced to do. I told him we are not permanently there yet & he doesn't need to be there by himself. But, I have learned one never knows what the future holds. We like it here, but don't be surprised if ya'll don't see a for sale sign in our yard at some point. (Blanco isn't far enough out anymore) & we tend to surprise ourselves alot!!!  Guess what...Ron & I are going to be great grandparents again. Kalyn is due around Daddy's birthday. Sure wish she would deliver on his BD. Ya'll would have loved all the kids..our family is growing.  Can you believe we will have 9 total grandkids & great grands.  Christmas's are wild. LOL..Ron is doing great with his knee replacement & cataracts removed. I'm walking pretty good after 4 years of surgeries from my accident. I don't plan on water skiing, hiking a mountain or snow skiing anymore, but being 70 yrs old now...it is ok with me. Yes your daughter is 70! Hard to believe, but all the kids keep me young. Pop passed away last October (97 yrs old) & I have finally wrapped up his estate. We sure miss him too. I am stretched pretty thin on our homefront with all the kids (ages, 2, 3, 4, 7, 22, 28, 24 & 28, I think I got ages correct), the ranch & all the animals, being there/doing for Terry & of course keeping up with Ron & my needs but all in all we are doing great & blessed so very much.  Gotta run, not enough hours in my days. Love & hugs till we are all together again.  Sandy

Hi Mom & Dad,  We just got home.  Ron & I spent our birthdays in Branson.  We had a wonderful time celebrating our birthdays along with yours.  You are forever attached to me and we can not celebrate our B-days without thinking of you and wishing you Birthday wishes.    I know you had a wonderful day celebrating with Daddy, Grandma & Grandpa in the most wonderful place a person could be & I hope you enjoyed all the Birthday Wishes that were sent to you.  I have to mention.....Remember the diner you & I went to in Branson?  I think the ice cream treats have gotten even larger.  It was amazing & you know how I love ice cream.....Ron & I together could not finish our sundae!  I know that is a shocker.  LOL   We even took a picture of us sitting in the same big rocker that you & I did.   Did you see us????   I am sure ya'll are aware of  the horrible things our country is going through & now Israel is under attack.   So not alot of positive things going on in the world.  Ron, I, our kids, gkids & ggkid are doing great though.  God has blessed us.  Terry is OK, but Andi & Amy are fighting major health issues.  I won't go into detail as  I'm sure ya'll know but if ya'll could please ask for a little more healing to be sent their way & to our country we down here would sure appreciate it.  Remember Pam Black, her husband, Bob just passed so tell him Hi from us and give him a hug too.  Until we are reunited again,  know that we love ya'll & ya'll are never forgotten. Mom,  Another year has gone by.  We are missing you & Dad bunches. I sure wished ya'll were here to celebrate another addition to our family with all of us.  Kalyn & Caleb had their 1st child, little Miss Charlotte Adalynn.  She is just perfect, beautiful, has all ten little toes & fingers.  She decided to come about 2 weeks early but she was perfect with no issues.  Can you believe I am a GG now (short for Great Grandma)  Hard to believe my granddaughter is now grown & a mother herself.  Everyone is excited and wishes to the parents are plenty.  Ron & I just got back from a cruise to Alaska.  It was beautiful country & we had perfect weather.  I had 2 more surgeries this past year (I think that made 5 for me since my accident in Nov 2018) Hoping this is it for me.  Ron had to have arm nerve surgery & is recovering.  Takes weeks to see if it was a successful surgery though.  But life is great.  We got our home built & finally most things done on the outside now.  Actually we are getting ready to build a home at the ranch.  Ya'll  would love it.  Awaiting plans now.  Kolby is going off to college next month. Katelyn is getting her PA & is currently an RN.  Kevin is hoping to get picked for the NBA.  Daddy would love watching him.  Rilynn is 5 already, Rycen is 2 and Kate is 1 1/2 years old now.  Yes, our family sure has grown. 7 grandkids for Ron & I & now 1 Great Grandchild.  We bought another RV & planning to go see the ARC ENCOUNTER soon.  Sure wish ya'll were joining us.  Our RVing together was cut too short.  I could write a book to you but I'm sure ya'll are watching over us & enjoying watching all the good  things that God has blessed us with, so until another time.  Love your daughter, Sandy.

Another year gone by, 3 years total. 
I miss and love you always. The family is doing fine. Thinking about moving to San Antonio. Was always Milton’s & my dream after retirement.  Found a house but houses aren’t selling in Corpus. Might have to wait awhile. Not much to report on but ya’l see it all anyway. Need for you to call on all Angels & pray for our country.  It has become weak & our enemies see it.

Hi Sister. 
Another year gone. It’s true, time heals all wounds.  Difficult at times but we have such wonderful memories.  I was sharing stories of our adventures with a neighbor yesterday & realized what a wonderful life we’ve shared. 
It seems I have picked up a bad habit of yours. Going to sleep at 2;30 or 3:00 AM. 
It’s ok, we’re retired & it’s a great way of life. 
The family is doing great. Not much has changed. 
The world & our economy is in a turmoil right now. Hope it straightens out soon. Difficult for working people. 
I was just thinking about the time we were in a Bandara RV Park for July 4th. Milton & me bought a bag of bing cherries. We watched the fireworks & you & me  ate them all. We didn’t feel so well the next morning. 
Mary Ann, Jr’s wife passed several weeks back. I’m sure ya’l were all there to greet her. Milton always thought a lot of Mary Ann & made banana wine together. Jr is very lost of course. She was such a fantastic person.

Hey Mom & Dad,  Among all the days I think of ya'll..your birthdays, (our birthday) the dates that ya'll left this crazy old world, all the holidays... I think the most often I think of ya'll is on Sundays when I reflect on our Lord Jesus Christ.  I think alot of all the years we spent at Baptist Temple.  The Sunday afternoons at Nanie's after church when our Thompson side of our family gathered together. Those were the days!!!! Too many to list but I know ya'll are all together now enjoying each other in heaven.  Our family here has grown.  I became a "grandma" 3 more times, Kalyn got married....so much I could say but ya'll KNOW ALL THIS.  And since I know you all know, ya'll also know just how busy busy we have been with no slowing down in sight.  I sure wished you & Dad were here though to enjoy our great fortune with us  & I'd love to hear out loud just what "I know" your thinking about my Silver Fox, Ron.  LOL  When I get to heaven we will have alot to reminisce about.  Hey,  Andi Texted & Terry called to say Happy Birthday & Mom I reminded him you turned 90.  We stay in touch & I know that makes you both happy.  Again,  as ya'll already know, it had to be at least 100 people that reached out to Ron & I this week for our Birthdays including Heavenly Birthday greetings to you, Mom, too.  It has been wonderful.  All is well here, as I know it is with ya'll.  So, Until we gather together again.  Keep watching us live the "Dream" & stay with us in spirit.  If ya'll don't see anymore messages posted here,  I know that will be OK.  I know in my heart of hearts ya'll are watching over us & are in tune with all the happenings here So you certainly don't need me to message you.  I am not even sure how long the funeral home keeps this going.  But we will keep all our memories close & never forget our Love for ya'll.  There is no bond like a child & their parents always....Happy Birthday Mom!

Mom & Dad,  It is hard to believe you have been gone for one year today & Daddy 9 years next month .  I miss ya'll terribly.   I do know you & Daddy are watching over me for sure.  I feel your presence often in many ways.   I have found several "heads up" pennies from heaven lately which they are usually tails up!   I just know you & Daddy are dropping them down to me as a sign because Wonderful things have happened to Ron & I in the last few weeks.  I know it is all God sent & you & Daddy are playing a role in our good fortune.   It was hard on our birthday's last year without you.   Mother's Day was a very strange feeling for me.  I drove out to ya'lls grave, but I know you know that too!  I do find comfort in knowing in my heart that you are in a happy place with Daddy having the time of your life with all our relatives & friends in heaven.  For that I am grateful because I know how unhappy you were with the way things went & you having to leave your home.  But all that is behind you now. Hi Sister.  Today’s the anniversary you left us. I miss your hugs & smiles & all the special things you did to make our world heartwarming. Doesn’t seem possible your gone. Seems like yesterday we were eating hot dogs on the patio & shopping at the factory outlets. Those were such great times we shared. Thank you for all the memories. Love you forever 

Hi Sister & Billy.  Christmas & New Years came & went. Thought about all the great times we spent with ya’l during the holidays. You always had a great feast & set a beautiful table. I miss that. It was a hard decision to go to Andi’s this Christmas because of Covid. But I went & everyone had a great time & no one got infected. We were blessed.  It’s very difficult to think we will never have those get togethers again with you & Billy & Mom & Dad & Milton. Gives me peace that ya’l are all together now but I’m still missing & long to be with ya’l.   Everyone here is safe & healthy but I know in my heart you check on us often. Be at peace & I miss ya’l all beyond words.

Hi Sister. I was unpacking Fall & Halloween decorations yesterday. I didn’t realize how many decorations I purchased when we shopped together. Brought back so many fond memories. I remember when Milton & me came to New Braunfels to help  ya’l with a garage sale. I got so many of your fall & Halloween decorations to cherish the rest of my life.  I love them all.  Only wish I could have found that black cat. I eventually found one though.  I miss the holidays most with you & Billy. There was always so much to see & do.  As we get older reality sets in & it’s hard to accept when your loved ones move on. It makes you realize you can’t wait to be with them.  I miss ya’l dearly.

When Milton & I first married, you told me you always wanted a sister.  You never treated me any different. We shared secrets, shared stories till 2:00 AM  & had a lot of laughs.  We had so much fun shopping, dining out & traveling.  Thank you for all the good times. I miss Milton & you beyond belief. I pray the family receives comfort in knowing Sister is happy being united with Billy, her parents, Milton & Bo.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John W. Thompson, her father George K. Whyte, her mother Esther (Semlinger) Copenhaver, her stepfather Horace M. Copenhaver, and her half-brother, Milton G. Copenhaver.
She is survived by her son Terry W. Thompson and his wife, Andi, her daughter Sandra “Sandy” Faught and her husband Ron; grandchildren Chad Epp, Amy Mucha, Donna Kurtz, Amanda Thompson; great grandchildren Kalyn Kurtz, Kolby Kurtz and Addison Mucha.
