Geraldine “Gerry” Marie Wieters, age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 13, 2018 in San Antonio, TX. She was born in San Antonio, TX on December 31, 1924 to William E. Hunter and Sophie Grohman Hunter. Gerry married Guswin “Gus” Wieters in 1967. They traveled to many casinos throughout the United States. She was also an avid bridge prayer in San Antonio and surrounding cities. Gerry was an active member of St. Puis X Catholic Church for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rose Lee Kempf; and brother, William Hunter.
She is survived by her husband, Gus Wieters; son, Terry Wieters & his son Jordan Wieters; daughter, Donna White & her 4 children; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 step-daughters, Mindy Heidi and Sandra; 8 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren all residing in Germany. She is also survived by her nieces, Betty Tarver, Barbara Hauck and Yvonne Waltrip; daughter-in-law, Ellie Wieters; numerous grand-nieces, grand-nephews and other loving relatives.
The Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Park.
She will be missed by all and especially her little puppy Kati, her canine companion, who was always by her side. A big “SPECIAL THANKS” to the staff at Kindred Hospice for their love and attention.
