

Jerry was a long time resident of San Antonio where after graduating from John Jay High School he married and joined the Air Force. He was a Urology Surgery Tech for 4 years and when he separated from the service, he found his way into the construction industry. With an eye for detail and the love of blueprint, Jerry eventually landed at Metropolitan Contracting Company where for the next 24 years he was a Project Manager. Jerry was well known and sought out for his success in the health care management industry and commercial finish out throughout San Antonio and surrounding areas. While at Metropolitan, some projects he influenced were Camp Street Condos, START Center on Medical, South Texas Oncology & Hematology Centers, various projects at Southwest Research Center and STRIC.
Jerry recently moved to Drash Contracting where he enjoyed a renewed passion for construction. He was happiest on a jobsite.
Jerry was a force to be reckoned with, a fountain of information, a music aficionado and racing enthusiast, a loving father, son and friend.
Jerry is survived by his two daughters, Taylor Gibney and Meredith Gibney Behal, grandsons, Crawford, Brodryck and Cortland, Mother, Margaret Gibney and brother Brian Gibney, sisters Melinda Gibney and Ginger Gibney Cordell and husband, Brian and nephew, Caden Cordell.
Memorial service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Austin Hwy, Friday, March 29 at 6pm.
