Gerard Francis McCormick, known to friends and family as Jerry, born November 8, 1939, an Irish Catholic in Brooklyn, New York, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 8, 2002 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a loving father who served his country proudly and honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He served his community at Southwestern Bell as a Construction Foreman and further touched lives as a Northside Independent School District bus driver. He was a devoted member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, where he selflessly gave of his time, transporting all who needed a ride to worship. Mr. McCormick was also a stellar member of the Knights of Columbus, serving 30 years. To those he loved and those who loved him, he was an inspiration and mentor for all those he touched and will be greatly missed. He was loyal and loving in nature with a punctual wit and he will always be remembered and thought of often. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Carolyn McCormick; his children, Gerard Francis McCormick, Jr., Timothy McCormick, Kenneth Ullmann, Brenda McCormick, Dennis McCormick, Eric Ullmann, Ellen Haralson and their spouses and families, including seven grandchildren and two sisters.
