Gilbert Joyce Dupler, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in San Antonio. He was born on November 21, 1931 in Maple, Texas to Minnie F. and Lester M. Dupler. Gib was married to his wife, Peggie Jo, for 65 years. He and his family moved to the San Antonio area in 1980 after owning and running a service station, tire repair and mechanic shop in Maple, Texas. After moving to San Antonio, he worked for Martin Marietta Materials as a heavy equipment shop foreman for 15 plus years. Gib loved to fish and garden and spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, son Gilbert Ray and a granddaughter Jo Beth. Gib is survived by his wife, Peggie Jo; daughter, Rhonda Russ; son, Chuck and wife, Kelly; son, Doug and wife, Glenda; brothers Carl and Clifford; five grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Doug Dupler residence from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2015, at 11801 Jim Terrill Rd., Adkins, TX 78101
