Gilbert Garcia III, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, September 10, 2018 at the age of 47. Gibby, as he was affectionately called, loved barbecuing for his family and friends, watching soccer, the Spurs, and Sunday football. He is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Garcia, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Arlene Garcia; daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Abdo Mroueh; son, Gilbert Garcia IV; daughter, Emily Garcia; mother and step-father, Juanita and Philip Connell; sister and brother in-law, Mary and Raul Mena; numerous other loving relatives. The family would like to sincerely thank everyone for their comfort, love and support during Gibby’s final days. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00pm on Thursday, September 13, 2018. An open visitation will begin at 8:00 am on Friday, September 14, 2018 with a celebration of life at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery #3.
