Gilbert B. Moreno Sr.

Gilbert B. Moreno, Sr., 68, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013. Mr. Moreno was an insurance broker for 40 years and had his own insurance brokerage firm. He will be remembered as a very loving and caring man who helped many people throughout his life who were in need. He loved to fish, especially in his boat, out in the ocean. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorn football and the San Antonio Spurs. Gilbert was preceded by his father Pete Moreno Sr. and sister Linda Gomez. He is survived by his wife Connie; children, Gilbert Moreno Jr. and wife Irene, Richard Moreno and wife Stephanie, Frances Hernandez, Michael Moreno and wife Cindy, Ruben Moreno, Larry Moreno and wife Christine, Lisa Guillen and husband Hugh, Louis B. Medola IV and wife Jessica; mother, Martha Bustos; brothers Pete and Abel Moreno

22 grandchildren, 15 great-grand children and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd.
