Gladys D. Hamlin, age 84, of San Antonio, born to Willie Dewitt Thompson and Roxanna Franks Thompson, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Hamlin, Sr., and stepdaughter, Alice Faye Antone, four sisters and five brothers. Survivors: stepson, A.J. Hamlin, Jr., Denver, CO.; special nephew, Bobby L. Swain, Austin, TX; special great-nephew, Patrick C. Boone, San Antonio, TX; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
