

Glenice dedicated her life to education and service. A passionate teacher, she spent many years in the classroom, where her kindness and creativity inspired generations of students. She also shared her faith as a Sunday School teacher at Oxford United Methodist Church, finding deep joy in guiding children’s spiritual growth and nurturing their understanding of compassion and faith.
Glenice and her husband, Lyle Herman Rosdahl, shared more than fifty years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Together they traveled extensively overseas, meeting new people and embracing new cultures wherever they went. Those experiences enriched their lives and deepened her appreciation for the beauty and diversity of the world.
Outside of her work and travels, Glenice loved spending time in nature, especially birdwatching, and was an avid tennis fan. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing the sport and continued to follow it throughout her life. She was always happiest with a book in hand or her family nearby. Her warmth, patience, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle Herman Rosdahl; and sister, Norma Johnson. Glenice is survived by her sons, Lyle Dean Rosdahl (Nohemi) and John Tate Rosdahl; grandson, Samuel Rosdahl; and sister, Linda McClellan.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Oxford United Methodist Church, 9739 Huebner Rd, San Antonio, TX 78240.
A private inurnment will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, where Glenice and her husband will be laid to rest together. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a children’s literacy charity or Oxford United Methodist Church.
