Although I only knew Gloria for a short time, we became close. I was not only her provider, I considered her my friend. Gloria was my LOL on the weekends. The whole time I was there its all we did, LAUGH. We sang ...badly... And listen to comedy as soon as her dad would leave....sorry Sir. Gloria would laugh at me as i fought with "Lupito, the bird" for throwing seeds on the floor after i swept . or when he would pull my hair while i cleaned his cage. I will hold fast those great memories, till we meet again. I will miss her very much. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. My heart gose out to her father. My God be with you always.

First I would like to send our sincerest condolences to  the entire Barrera family.  I grew up living next door to Gloria all my life and have so many fond memories of our families growing up together.  Gloria was like a big sister to me and my sisters and I will forever be grateful for her support.  She will most certainly be missed by everyone who knew her.  

One memory that I will never forget and am reminded of from time to time, was Gloria pushing me on my Big Wheels tricycle fast enough for me to flip over and end up with a scar on my head.  I remember I didn’t even feel any pain because I had so much fun but Gloria was so worried.  She always looked after us :(.

Our parents were always faithful about getting the cousins together at holidays!  I am blessed to have so many precious memories of Christmas at Tia Lupe's and New Year's at Tia Janie's... and so many birthday parties!  There's nothing like the love of family.  Rest Well, Gloria! You will be sorely missed and we wait with hopeful expectation until the day we can see you again in heaven.  

Dearest Yoya, you will be missed.  Always with a kind word and beautiful smile.  My mom & dad will be glad to see you in Heaven they loved their Yoya.  Artie is there also.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Beatriz Barrera; grandmothers, Maria R. Mireles and Leonor M. Lopez.
