

She was a life resident of San Antonio. Gloria received an Associate's degree and Bachelor's degree through Park College. She retired from civil service after 32 years and also retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserves (433rd MEG SQ) after 24 years of service.
During Gloria's civil service career she received many citations for her performance and level of service. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and wonderful friend. The 433rd described her as "truly a role model in service before self, the ultimate expression of love and sacrifice."
Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Rodolfo Naranjo and sister, Teresa Buenteo.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ed Garcia; children, Edmundo "Eddie" Garcia III, Bette Linda Garcia and John Daniel Garcia; mother, Esperanza Buenteo; sisters, Nora and Esperanza and brother, Rudy Naranjo and several nieces and nephews.
