Gloria R. Harris

Gloria R. Harris, age 69, passed away on January 1, 2002. Gloria served her country well with a distinguished career of over thirty years in Civil Service at Kelly AFB, then Ft. Sam Houston. She devoted her entire life to serving her family, the Eucharistic ministry, many church groups and St. Vincent De Paul. She demonstrated untiring love of friends, family and strangers especially the underprivileged. A trail of grateful people from San Antonio to Australia, McAllen, Mississippi, Corpus Christi and then San Antonio again, have benefited from having known Gloria. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Elias Ramon, and brother, William Basurto. Survived by her husband, John; daughter, Cynthia Ramon; sons, William Ramon, Edward Ramon and spouse Rosanne, James Ramon, Steven Harris and spouse Christine, David Harris and fiancée Nicolle and their respective families; brothers, Frank Basturo, Alfred Basurto and families; grandchildren, Christina Ramon, Jamie Ramon, Scott Harris, William Ramon, Tiffany Ramon, Isabella Ramon, Julia Ramon, extended family and friends. We are so proud to have shared the love she gave as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
