Gloria Dowling Kyne

Gloria was born October 6, 1944 in Columbus, Georgia. She graduated from Jordan High School in Columbus in 1962. She was in the Marching Band and the Choir.

She married Robert Garold Kyne in 1963. Gloria was a member of The Doll Makers Guild of San Antonio. She was also one of the Pioneer Homeschoolers in San Antonio.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, C. Earl Dowling and Edna Ruth Dowling, her sister Julie Pattillo, her twin daughters Gloria and Betty, her son Adam and her husband Gary.

She is survived by her sister Susan Greer and her children Patrick (Jenny), Karen (Jorge), Michael (Keeta), Kevin (LaWanda), Mat (Amber), Kelly (Gordon), and Katherine (Ben).

Gloria loved gardening, music, sewing, crafts and reading. The thing she loved most was her family. Her 62 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren were a joy to her.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 8801 Midcrown, Windcrest, Texas.

Burial will be on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery located at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas.
